Welcome!

I’m Jennifer and my husband Robert, daughter Isabella, son Grant and I, would all like to extend a warm welcome.

My grandfather raised cutting horses and had me up on a horse from the time I was 2 years old, which was the catalyst for my life-long love of horses. I rode and trained many different breeds and disciplines while growing up and became an exercise rider at Louisiana Downs while attending Centenary College in Shreveport. Horses have always been an integral part of my life, but it is when Robert and I had Isabella and Grant that my deepest appreciation for a truly SAFE “bomb-proof” horse really kicked in. Although I had ridden hundreds of horses during my pre-motherhood days, finding the “right” pony for my kids was nearly impossible.

People always told me I had a “gift” for training and desensitizing horses, but until I started looking for a pony for my kids, I never believed them. I never realized how special my horses and my methods for creating a bomb-proof partner were until I saw so many ponies I wouldn’t dare let my own children near, let alone buy them as a “kids pony”. That was the moment 16 years ago I made the decision to dedicate my life to providing a reliable source for SAFE horses and ponies to the horse community throughout the country. Robert and the kids were completely supportive of my dream to help match families with the horse of their dreams… and that is how Jennifer's farm was born.

Why choose us?

At Jennifer's farm, we believe in doing things very differently…

First of all, every horse and pony that comes to the ranch is evaluated for safety and temperament by working through our rigorous and proven desensitizing program where we expose them to tarps, flags, atv’s, on the road in traffic, water, loading & unloading, arena and round pen work, bareback, clippers, cross ties, dogs, farm animals and much more. We try and cover anything the horse might see in a busy family and barn setting. Many of our horses have a very solid foundation of ranch and trail work before they come to us and effortlessly breeze right through the program. Others may require more training, but until we are so confident in a horse that we trust them with our own children, that horse is not available for adoption. Seldom, we may get a horse that does not meet our high standards of a “family safe horse” and those horses are given away to knowledgeable trainer apprentices.

                                                              

                                                                   ADOPTION PROCESS

Below are our adoption options ;

1- WHEN PICK UP:

Pay a 20% cost for the horse chosen for a holding/deposit fee and then pay the remaining by the time of picking up.

2- WHEN SHIPPING:

___Pay a total cost of the horse including delivery fee to enable us process delivery arrangements for the horse to be shipped and delivered to your doorstep without any complication.

___After payment confirmed we shall require your full delivery infos (full names, home address, email address and phone number) to process paperwork

___Once paperwork done we shall proceed with the delivery arrangements which takes about an hour max then get back to you with a tracking number to enable you know the exact departure and arrival time of your horse at your doorstep and more necessary details related to your delivery.

3- WHEN SECURING OR RESERVING A HORSE:

Pay a deposit or reservation fee of 20% cost of the horse chosen and the balance when you are ready to take your horse home or after you must have picked up the horse!!

PLEASE NOTE: Our horses and ponies generally sell VERY fast so if you find a horse you are seriously interested in, we encourage you to act quickly. We hate when people call disappointed about missing out on a particular horse, but likewise we don’t want to miss a sale by holding a horse for someone who isn’t serious or committed to us! We are happy to hold a horse with a 10% non-expiring security deposit to allow time for travel if you plan on coming in, otherwise we do not hold horses under any circumstances.

How Shipping Works

Traveling can be a nerve-wracking experience, whether you walk on two legs or four furry ones. We put the safety and happiness of your horse above everything else. As horse lovers and owners ourselves, we know the stress that can linger over the thought of shipping a horse especially so when shipping a horse over far distances.

We have being working with several major shipping services who have proven themselves trustworthy, safe, and totally dependable time and time again. So we are able to provide a pet shipping and horse can be welcomed in the loving home they deserve, no matter where that home is located!

We will be in touch throughout the day with your horse travel schedule until they arrive safely in your arms. Shipping takes 48 hours or less depending on your location. Delivery here is very safe ,secured and 100% conformable for the horse. The horses are being delivered by road transportation by experts pet transport to ensure they don’t experience stress even amid longer travels. They are watched all along the travel till they arrive their destination.
